Out of the Shadows 2025

My Target

9km

I’m walking for the ones who never got the chance to feel safe in their own minds.

For World Suicide Prevention Day, I’m joining Out of the Shadows—a 9km walk that honours the 9 lives lost to suicide every day in Australia.

I’m walking with the weight of stories—some I’ve lived, some I’ve held for others. As someone who’s battled anxiety and watched people I love face emotional darkness, this cause runs deep for me.

Each year, more than 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life, and over 3,000 do not survive. Behind every number is a name. A laugh. A memory. A maybe tomorrow that never came.

Lifeline receives over 1 million calls for help each year. They answer with hope, support, and someone who listens when it feels like no one else can.

I’m walking to remind people they’re not alone. That being “too much” or “not enough” are lies our minds sometimes whisper. That there is always a way back to light—even if it begins with one shaky step.

If you can, please sponsor my walk. Your donation supports crisis lines, mental health outreach, and real, life-saving conversations.

Let’s make sure no one walks through the shadows alone.
