I’m walking as part of our DYFA Mates team <3

I’m walking as part of our DYFA Mates team in Lifeline’s Out of the Shadows Walk this September.

As someone with four brothers, male friends and more than 100 men working across our businesses, I’m very aware of the statistics around men’s mental health and suicide. While this isn’t only a men’s issue, working in a largely male industry has made me particularly conscious of how important it is that we keep talking, checking in and creating spaces where people feel comfortable speaking up when they’re not okay.

For me, this walk is about remembering those we’ve lost, supporting people who may be struggling now, and reminding ourselves to genuinely look out for the people around us.

Through DYFA Mates, we’re trying to make that part of everyday life at work too. Checking in, noticing when someone might not be themselves, having conversations that aren’t always easy, and making sure our people know they don’t have to carry things alone.

If you’d like to join us, we’d genuinely love to have you there. And if you can’t make the walk but would like to support Lifeline, any contribution is very much appreciated.

My impact so far

I've raised $130 so far to answer 3 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.

With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
